Hello! I am Ms. O’Brien and I will be teaching 7th Grade English this year at Sunrise Middle School. This will be my tenth year teaching, but my first year teaching 7th grade. I am excited to get to know the students, develop them as readers and writers, and adapt to our new learning platforms this year. When I am not teaching, you might be able to find me in Redwood City rowing in a boat at 5 in the morning. In my free time, I enjoy being in nature whether that be hiking, bird watching, or identifying plants.  Also, I have a twin sister who is a science teacher in Mountain View. Together, we live in the East Side, San Jose and share five, fluffy cats.
