Cecilia Pulido

7th grade English

Cecilia Pulido is the 7th grade English teacher at Sunrise Middle School. She was born and raised in Sacramento, California and in the Central Valley to immigrant parents from Michoacan, Mexico. She received her Associate of Arts in English from Gavilan College, and later received her Bachelor’s of Arts in English from Sacramento State University. Her love for teaching started at a K-8th After School Program in North Highlands in the Sacramento Area where she was a Team Leader. She later taught Secondary English and English Language Development for three years in the Central Coast. Her passion is teaching all students and making sure that they get to where they need to be academically, socially, and emotionally in an inclusive space. When she is not teaching she enjoys: reading, music, collecting vinyl records, lowriding and cruising events, the ocean, nature, and her three cats. She is elated to be part of the Aztec family and is looking forward to the upcoming school year.
