Imelda Rodriguez graduated from Syracuse University where she discovered her passion for food injustice by starting a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program on campus. Imelda then decided to graduate with a BS in Food Studies. After graduating she moved to Brooklyn, NY and began her career as a Farm to Fork instructor. She taught youth about food injustice topics relating to gardening and cooking culturally nutritious foods. After five years in the East Coast Imelda returned to her home and will continue to spread knowledge by helping implement a farm to fork education program at Sunrise Middle School. She longs to inspire youth to become more aware of their environment and the current food system.
