Sunrise Middle School is a charter school at 24th and Julian Streets, San Jose, California for students who are seeking a holistic, meaningful and stimulating education. We believe school should be a place where youth want to come each day, excited to learn about life and themselves, where they're allowed to question and challenge the world around them, and where they feel empowered and respected for who they are. We welcome all sixth through eighth grade youth. Please call the school to arrange a visit or to enroll, (408) 659-4785. We operate under a charter with the Santa Clara County Office of Education.

Sunrise lead math teacher Rusila Racinez is Santa Clara County Teacher of the Year. She is the only charter school teacher in the county who was honored October 1 at the Heritage Theatre in Campbell.
