Sunrise Middle School has two after school programs. The one funded by the school runs from 3 to 3:40 p.m. every day except Wednesday and consists of two elective or enrichment courses. The other after school program, funded by a federal ASES (After School Education and Safety) grant, runs from 3 to 6 p.m. daily. It includes the enrichment courses as well as sports and homework help. Every student needs to be in one of the two programs. The three-hour program also includes some special activities and field trips.
Enrichment courses in the after school program include tech lab, computer games, music, art, fun science, street hockey, drama, Folklorico dance, cooking, color guard, soccer, etc.
